Dr. Chen, a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist, founded Pediatric Eye Physicians in 1993. Dr. Chen graduated summa cum laude from the Boston University School of Medicine 6 Yr. Medical Program, where she received the Boston University School of Medicine Alumni Achievement Award and the Franklin Foundation Scholarship Award.

She completed an internal medicine residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University’s Edward Harkness Eye Institute where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Chen completed her fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the world renowned Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before establishing her practice in Morristown.

Dr. Chen is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Morris County Medical Society. New Jersey Association of Ophthalmology, and New York Society for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Chen served on the board of trustees of the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center and its Pediatric Philanthropic Council. She volunteers for medical missions in developing countries to deliver care to the world’s most vulnerable pediatric patients.

Dr. Chen has repeatedly been named a "Top Doc" by NJ Monthly, Inside New Jersey, and NJ Family Magazine, and designated as a "Top Doctor" in the Metro New York Area by Castle Connolly. She has been acknowledged nationally by her peers as a "Best Doctor in America," and "America's Top Ophthalmologists," as well as a "Top Ophthalmologist" by US News and World Report.

Dr. Chen is married to a neonatologist and is the proud mother of a son, a daughter, and a lovable Yorkie. She loves theatric arts, and is an avid reader and international traveler.
