Advocare Pediatric Eye Physicians takes pride in delivering state-of-the-art ophthalmologic care tailored to infants, children, and teens as well as adults with eye muscle disorders. Our doctors are board certified ophthalmic surgeons trained in the nation's most prestigious medical centers. Our doctors have been named "Top Doctors" by multiple regional and national publications. We are committed to providing the highest level of care in a nurturing and child friendly environment.


Our office also offers a pediatric optical dispensary specializing in pediatric eyewear and staffed by optical specialists trained to provide the optimal spectacle fit in children.


In addition to our two offices serving the outpatient community, our doctors provide inpatient consultations at Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center.

Lucy Chen, MD

Lucy Chen, MD

Dr. Chen, a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist, founded Pediatric Eye Physicians in 1993. Dr. Chen graduated summa cum laude from the Boston University School of Medicine 6 Yr. Medical Program, where she received the Boston University School of Medicine Alumni Achievement Award and the Franklin Foundation Scholarship Award. She completed an internal medicine residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University’s Edward Harkness Eye Institute where she served as Chief Resident.

Kathryn Klein, MD

Dr. Klein, a board certified ophthalmologist, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Amherst College and earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She also holds a master's degree in Public Health from Columbia University where she was a Macy Scholar. Dr. Klein completed her ophthalmology residency at New York University, where she served as Chief Resident, and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins.

Charles Morgan, MD

Dr. Morgan, a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist, earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University and completed his ophthalmology training at Northwestern University Medical Center and St. Louis University Health Science Center. He completed his fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital and is member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the National Medical Association, and the Morris County Medical Society.

Dr. Morgan, a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist, earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University and completed his ophthalmology training at Northwestern University Medical Center and St. Louis University Health Science Center.
